TBaZY (Temple Beth Zion Youth)

Senior Youth Group

For students in grades 8 through 12, has as its purpose preserving Jewish identity by providing a variety of programs, including social action, study, worship, service to Temple Beth Zion and leadership training. Our vibrant and energetic teens organize and participate in many activities, including annual events, such as a Candlelight Service for Chanukah, a Purim Carnival, a creative congregational service and regional conferences. This Temple youth group is a member of North East Lakes Region of NFTY and participates in activities both in Canada and in the United States.

Junior Youth Group

Offered for students in grades 5 through 7. Social, educational, community service, team building and religious activities are planned throughout the year. Members participate in a Shabbat week- end exchange program with other junior youth groups in the region.

TBaZY successfully hosted NFTY NEL's Fall Kallah in November. The photo above shows teens under a quilt during the Mi Sheberach prayer. This tradition has been observed at NFTY-Nel regional events for over 10 years.
